Dear fellow Lebanon Township residents:

2010 has been an eventful year for our Department!

At the request of the Township Committee, we have assumed the responsibility for emergency medical services (EMS) in addition to our duties as the fire department. We have performed these newly assigned duties as we do all of our assignments--with professionalism.

All services performed by the LTVFD are free and performed by volunteer firefighters and certified volunteer EMTs, all of whom are fire department members.  There is always the need for new updated EMT and fire equipment.  So, as we do annually, we ask for your financial support through our fund drive.

Who are we?

We are dedicated volunteers in your community. We are your neighbors and your emergency is our emergency. We come from all walks of life. We are farmers, small business owners, policemen, EMTs, public employees, industrial workers, landscapers, construction workers, mechanics, students, and homemakers.

Throughout the year, the all-volunteer members of Lebanon Township Volunteer Fire Department leave their families, homes and jobs to answer your emergency calls.  Last year we responded to almost 200 fires, alarms, automobile accidents, fuel leaks and other emergency calls. Our two fire stations cover approximately 32 square miles. We do it gladly, but we need your help to continue.

Our members volunteer their time and energy. We don’t get paid for responding to emergencies, maintaining equipment, or attending drills and training.  We’re on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

When the alarm sounds, whether at 3:00 AM or in the middle of dinner, we respond.

We have pancake breakfasts, mailer fundraisers, and other fundraisers for only one reason:

To raise money needed to maintain your fire department at the highest state of readiness!

With the money raised, we buy needed equipment, protective gear, and uniforms, in addition to maintaining the equipment.  In the past, township residents and property owners have given generously.  In light of our assuming the additional EMS duties, we ask that you consider increasing your past donation amount, knowing that we now perform both fire and EMS services.  In effect, we are soliciting two donations in one.

The Lebanon Township Volunteer Fire Department members ask you to please give generously so we can continue to safely serve you. Your tax-deductible donation will help us adequately equip and maintain our department, purchase and upgrade equipment necessary to provide EMS services, and continue to provide the level of emergency response you need and deserve.

We thank you for your continued support!
